Cervical treatment

Offers great benefit in the treatment of neck pain

Cervical Treatment

Through very deep muscular and fascial maneuvers, the manual treatment performed by an expert hand can offer great benefit in the treatment of all those ailments related to what is commonly called "cervical". These conditions include the temporomandibular joint, cervical spine, rib cage and dorsal spine, and the sensation of pain can extend to the skull, shoulder and down to the arms and back. The person may experience continuous pain, intermittent pain, or even unpleasant tingling sensations.
In these cases, massage offers benefits for:

  • Pain radiating to the neck
  • Cervicalgia
  • Cervicobrachialgia
  • Cervical rhizopathy
  • Stiff neck
  • Crushing of the intervertebral disc
  • Whiplash
  • Cervical arthrosis
  • Column deviations
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome (or scalene syndrome)

Depending on the type of neck, the type of tissue and in agreement with the client, it is possible and even recommended to combine the massage with a cupping and/or moxibustion treatment. Moxibustion is a complementary technique that is fully part of the organic corpus of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and, acting deep inside the tissues through the heat and properties of Artemisia, offers long-term benefits especially in chronic diseases. Attention!

It is possible that after deep muscle treatment in the cervical area, the person may experience sensations of widespread pain and dizziness. The pain can sometimes persist for several days. This effect is quite frequent and is the natural consequence of the deep action carried out on the tissues during the massage, and shouldn't cause concern but rather be seen as a transitory but necessary phase that helps the body to rebalance itself and reactivate areas that had remained until then blocked. Once the first most painful phase has passed, a phase of relaxation and decrease in pain generally follows, which indicates the restoration, by the body, of its natural balance.
It is possible that the treatment must be performed several times to get to feel the real benefits. This depends on the person's condition and the ability of the tissues to activate and rebalance.
After each massage - even the most relaxing one - it is always advisable to avoid efforts and overstrain. This is even more true after a deep treatment.

In any case, it is always advisable to seek the advice of a doctor to diagnose your disorder and get advice on the correct treatment to be performed.

The deep treatment on muscle blockages:

  • reduces muscle tension and stiffness
  • reduces the pain perceived by the individual
  • improves muscle mobility of the affected area
  • consequently it favors a more rapid recovery and healing
  • promotes and stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation
  • generates a feeling of generalized well-being
